Our Story

When I became a parent, I found myself thinking about something many Armenian families quietly carry with them — how do we pass our language on to the next generation?

Growing up, Armenian was more than just words. It was family conversations, stories, songs, traditions, and a connection to who we are. But raising children in the diaspora, I realized how easily that connection can become harder to maintain.

I wanted my child to grow up hearing Western Armenian naturally — not only during visits with grandparents or on special occasions, but as part of everyday life through play, curiosity, and learning.

When I searched for resources, I found very few modern, child-friendly learning tools created specifically for Western Armenian families. So I decided to create one.

Little Hye Learning began with a simple goal: to make Armenian learning feel joyful, approachable, and part of everyday family life.

My First Armenian Words is our first step in that journey — helping little ones hear, recognize, and grow up with Armenian from the very beginning.

Because language is more than words. It is identity, belonging, and a gift we pass forward.

Our Mission

At Little Hye Learning, our mission is to help Armenian families keep Western Armenian alive by creating beautiful, engaging, and accessible learning tools for young children.

We believe language is one of the strongest connections children can have to their identity, family, and heritage. Through playful, screen-free experiences, we aim to make Armenian learning feel natural, joyful, and part of everyday family life.

Our goal is to support diaspora families in raising confident little learners who grow up hearing, recognizing, and loving Armenian from an early age.

Because every Armenian word spoken today helps carry our culture into tomorrow.

Keeping Western Armenian alive—one little learner at a time.
